Our chapter successfully raised the most money for LeBonheur Children's Hospital in 2017.
Cheesin For Children
On November 1st, 2016, Phi Mu Alpha Delta hosted the first ever Cheesin For Children and raised $15,170.25! All of this money was donated to Le Bonheour Children's hospital. Guests had the option of cheese fries, nachos, or tomato soup and grilled all of which was served at our house. We were fortunate enough to host patients and family members who gave their testimonies. We would like to thank all of those who participated and helped us reach our goal of $15,000. North Mississippi ALS Walk
Our chapter had a special opportunity to honor our sister Georgia Summer, who recently lost her father to ALS. We teamed up with the Brothers of Phi Delta Theta who lost a father from ALS and raised $4985.10. All of this money was donated to ALS research in memory of Daniel Summer and Ralph Doxey.
The M3 campaign takes place during the month of March, where Phi Mu chapters across the country raise money for the Phi Mu Foundation and to provide academic scholarships for our sisters. Alpha Delta prides itself on achieving a 100% participation mark yearly,
In 2016, Alpha Delta was the number one fundraising chapter in the country. In acknowledgment of this, a reception was held on September 26, 2016, where current national president Beth Monnin and foundation president Kris Bridges (also a former national president) was present.
On September 26th, 2016, members of the Greek Community gathered together to raise funds against breast cancer. Campus and community members gathered together to walk in the the 12th annual University of Mississippi Panhellenic Councils Cancer Awareness Research and Eradication.
This year, Phi Mu will once again be partnering with IHOP on March 8th to raise money and awareness for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. On this day, IHOP offers customers a free stack of shortcakes, and patrons have the opportunity to donate to our shared hospital, LeBonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN. This event, which takes place nationally, has raised over 10 million dollars for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals since 2006. Phi Mu is looking forward to this exciting event and encourages all the local Oxford community to participate!
Our annual philanthropy event, Bonnamu, was held at The Lyric to raise money for LeBonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN. Bonnamu is a "battle of the bands"-style competition held amongst the Ole Miss fraternities. Alpha Delta raised over $21,000 for Children's Miracle Network through this event.
Sisters Helping Sisters
Each year during Recruitment Workshop, the ladies of Alpha Delta break into small groups and head out into the Oxford community to spend a few hours doing service and giving back. In 2016, Alpha Delta donated approximately $2000 in cash and food items to local services, such as the Oxford Food Pantry and More Than a Meal.
In 2016, Alpha Delta raised $10,423 for RebelTHON, a twelve-hour dance marathon supporting Children's Miracle Network Hospitals!
